We Must Get Off Our Butts, Call In Sick If Necessary, Set Our Alarms, Talk to Anyone We Know AND GO VOTE EVERY Time We Have The Privilege!

     Turn on ANY news station Today and you have your reason to VOTE. The Elitist, Republicans and Tea Party, WE allowed to be elected in 2010 have done NOTHING! Except, regularly try to pull a reverse Robin Hood, take from the poor and give to the rich. From their first day in office, they have used every backdoor tactic to try to cut programs and money for the elderly, disadvantaged and education for our children. I will address the education issue at a later date. They have gotten in front of The President of These GREAT United States and Stood still! Preventing OUR LEADER from moving our GREAT COUNTRY forward and continuing to correct the atrocities of the previous administrations eight year reign.

     We Have More Power in the upcoming 2012 Election than you might think. WE ARE THE MAJORITY! WE are also the ones forced to work for BIG BUSINESS, only to earn a living wage, while being forced to work in poor conditions, shifts and some of the most dangerous jobs out there. We are daily at the mercy of our employers to maintain employment and pushed to perform at a level just beyond our ability to keep our minds on keeping our jobs and taking care of our families, so that, God  forbid, we should remember to vote or think anything that would enable us to devise a way of escape. If we escaped, where would we go? Jobs are scarce and we believe we are blessed and are finally making enough income to buy that house or that special thing for our spouse they always wanted or special things for our children. Then, gas goes up and $30.00 does not fill the tank, now it takes $50.00 and the loaf of bread we bought for $1.79 last month is now $2.39 and so on it goes.

      What happened to the land of the free and the home of the brave? Due to the Republican agenda exercised to the fullest, by our former Republican President that invoked God and his Christianity at every opportunity, we now have the land of the enslaved and the home of the: I have to look brave for my family and keep my job. Unless you are part of that 1% that enjoys $250.000 a year and pays less tax than the average person.

     Do you remember earlier in the year when the NEW 2010 elected Republicans held President Obama hostage with "we will not let you extend unemployment benefits to those who need it, if you let the Bush tax cuts expire". Remember the Bush tax cuts were for the wealthiest 1% that make $250.000 per year or more. That was when OUR current President Obama was trying to extend unemployment benefits to all of those still unemployed due to the fallout from the greedy financial frenzy that began when the former Republican President  deregulated the financial system. Not taxing the super rich is still part of this current hostage crisis about the budget today.

    You have to keep your memory in tact. Before WE allowed the Republican takeover of congress in 2010, by NOT voting. President Obama restored our Nation's integrity and reputation with the world, just a few months in office. President Obama corrected most of the image damage our former "Christian" President and his staff did with their "enhanced interrogation techniques" and the unjustified war in Iraq which became a great recruiting tool for Al Qeda and made America hated around the world. President Obama re-regulated the financial system and kept the US and the world financial system from crashing and passed a health care bill that presidents since Teddy Roosevelt wanted to pass. When the weather is bad outside, we tend to forget the sunshine we had yesterday. Oh and it was President Obama that actually got Osama Bin Laden, the terrorist responsible for 9-11.

      I am listening to the House members speak as I write this, on C-Span and a bill introduced by the 2010 Republicans to "cut spending" would de-regulate big businesses and exempt Oil Companies from clean air practices and pollution etc and close over 100 National Parks. What have we done by sitting on our hands, being impatient and losing our solidarity.  

     In the upcoming elections, 2012, YOUR vote WILL count and The DIRECTION of our Country WILL be set for GENERATIONS! You see, what is happening in Washington right now is really a fight to decide if the RICH, ELITE and BIG BUSINESSES will dictate OUR Country, i.e. The Republicans or IF the PEOPLE, by the ELECTED Government, The Democrats will direct our Country.
